Realme will launch the Realme 5s in India on November 20 alongside the Realme X2 Pro. While the Realme X2 Pro will be a true-blue flagship, the Realme 5s will cater to the budget conscious buyer. Ahead of launch, Flipkart has started teasing the Realme 5s with a dedicated landing page – Flipkart is also the sales partner for the Realme X2 Pro.

The Flipkart landing page reveals the full design of the Realme 5s, at least from the back, in addition to confirming a key hardware spec. Basis of the naming convention, the Realme 5s seems to be some sort of upgrade to the Realme 5 – which was launched in India not long ago. And it is.

Realme 5s to come with 48MP quad cameras

The Realme 5s will have a design like the Realme 5 with a diamond-cut pattern on the back and quad rear cameras. But while the Realme 5 has a 12MP main camera, the Realme 5s will bump it up to a 48MP with possibly a Samsung GM1 sensor. Clearly, the Realme 5s looks like Realme’s answer to Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 8 – that one also comes with 48MP quad rear cameras.

To recap, the Realme 5 has a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop-style notch, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, quad rear cameras consisting of a 12MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor, 13MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. The Realme 5s comes with an all-plastic body and looks like the Realme 5s will likely also follow suit.

Realme is gearing for a big launch event in India on November 20 where it will launch its most ambitious smartphone to date, aka the Realme X2 Pro. But the Realme X2 Pro won’t be alone. There are rumours that Realme may also launch its first fitness band at the same keynote, in addition to the Realme 5s – that has now been confirmed by Realme.
